CISB Commemorates Bangladesh Victory Day with Enthusiastic Celebrations

Dhaka, December 15, 2024 – The Canadian International School of Bangladesh (CISB) proudly celebrated Bangladesh’s Victory Day with a series of vibrant and meaningful events, honoring the nation’s historic triumph in the Liberation War of 1971. Students, faculty, and the community came together to pay tribute to the sacrifices that led to the country’s independence.

The day’s celebrations began with a solemn ceremony, where the Bangladeshi national flag was hoisted amidst the singing of the national anthem, creating a profound sense of unity and patriotism. Following the flag-raising, a minute of silence was observed to honor the martyrs who gave their lives for the nation’s freedom.

CISB students showcased their creativity and patriotism through a series of cultural performances, including:

Poetry recitations of works by renowned Bangladeshi poets, celebrating the resilience and spirit of the nation.

Dramatic reenactments of significant events from the Liberation War, providing an educational yet emotional experience for attendees.

Musical performances, featuring traditional Bangladeshi songs and dances, which added a festive and heartfelt atmosphere to the occasion.

In addition to the cultural activities, CISB organized an interactive exhibition, where students presented artwork, essays.

CISB remains committed to fostering an environment where cultural heritage and education intersect, empowering students to grow as informed and compassionate global citizens. Victory Day is a reminder of the enduring spirit of Bangladesh and the importance of remembering the sacrifices that made freedom possible.
