Principal's message



Dear Parents and Students,

It gives me absolute pleasure to work in such an environment where I see great teaching and learning happening everyday. The Canadian International School (CIS) is a place where teachers and families work together in pursuit of academic excellence. 

In our preschool section our dictum is ‘A child’s work is play.’ This is an environment where teachers create the best possible atmosphere for children to begin learning successfully.  It is the base for knowledge which we nurture through hands on experiences. Our aim is to make that base a strong foundation that will be sturdy enough to build on throughout the rest of a child’s school career. The Elementary section is a continuation of our education experiences from Preschool where we continue to foster the whole child. Children are taught in an integrated, hands on environment where they can actively participate in their learning.  This is very evident as you walk into the classrooms. We aspire to create life long learners that are curious, who will become confident risk takers and will go into adulthood with the right tools to make them successful citizens.  This is our ultimate goal.

You as parents and part of the CIS family play an integral part in reaching this goal. I welcome your input into your child's education and believe this is an essential factor in their academic success, so I encourage you to participate in your child’s learning as s/he journeys throughout this school.
