Early Years Program: Early Childhood, Junior Kindergarten, Kindergarten
A child's early learning experiences have a profound effect on their development. Their receptivity to new influences and capacity to learn are at their peak. During this age they acquire a variety of important skills, knowledge and attitudes that will affect their learning ability, personal development and future participation in society.
To achieve this aim, the Early Years Program of CIS, will provide a stimulating educational environment that will encourage young children to learn in a variety of formal and informal ways. |

Learning Through Inquiry
Young children are naturally curious and ask many questions about the things that catch their attention. The Early Years Program of CIS shall capitalize on this natural desire to learn and absorb information. |

Learning Through Play
There is a strong link between play and learning for young children. Our Early Years Program is designed to provide excellent learning opportunities through play, especially in the field of problem solving, literacy and social skill. This approach helps children to grow socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically. |

Gross & Fine Motor Play
A wide range of interesting children's indoor and outdoor physical activities are carefully planned to develop gross and fine motor skills. These activities are designed to help the children to gain confidence using their muscles for movement and pre- writing. |

School Year
The Canadian International School year runs from August to June. The school year will comprise of Three Terms.
Term 1: August - December
Term 2: January - March
Term 3: April - June
Enrollment of Students
The enrollment applications package is available at the CIS admission office on payment of the application fee in BDT for Bangladeshi nationals and in US$ for expatriates. Interested parents / guardians are requested to submit the application for enrollment via the prescribed 'Student Application Form'. Other information relating to admission is available at the admission office of the school. Seats are limited and as such, parents are requested to complete admission procedures as soon as possible. |

School Uniform
The uniform has an important effect on the overall image of the school. The students of CIS are expected to come to the school attired in proper uniform on all school days. This allows the child to develop feelings of being a member of a group or community. |
